Title: UX Manager and Sr. UX Designer
Project Background
Visa Commercial Solutions (VCS) provides a wide range of digital products and services to support enterprise and small business clients with their commercial solutions and integrations. However, these offerings were scattered across multiple disjointed platforms and products. Clients struggled with poor usability, redundant workflows, and limited customization options, leading to user frustration, low engagement, and high drop-off rates.
The Challenge
Visa Commercial Solutions aimed to enhance and modernize its fragmented suite of digital products for enterprise and small business clients. These offerings were scattered across disjointed platforms, resulting in poor usability, high drop-off rates, and inconsistent user experiences. Navigation challenges and limited customization further impacted user engagement and retention.
My proposal was to address existing issues and transform this fragmented ecosystem into a unified, hollistic and cohesive experiences; streamlining how businesses access, use, and manage the full range of Visa Commercial Solutions and integrations. The vision was to simplify how users access, use, and manage Visa’s commercial Solutions, so we generated stronger engagement and fueled revenue growth by creating an intuitive, agile and efficient digital ecosystem.
My Role
As a Platform Manager and Product Designer on the Visa Commercial Solutions team, I was responsible for managing resources and driving the end-to-end holistic experience strategy across a complex ecosystem of commercial products. My scope included conducting discovery research, defining the information architecture, and designing unified workflows that spanned multiple platforms and user types from small business owners to enterprise finance users.
I collaborated closely with product managers, engineers, and business stakeholders to align on strategic priorities, gather technical constraints, and ensure consistency across all touchpoints by leading comprehensive user research through interviews, usability testing, and competitive analysis to uncover insights. I also led cross-functional design workshops, collaborated on the creation of scalable design systems, and facilitated usability acceptance testing (UAT) sessions to validate and iterate on our solutions. My work helped set the foundation for a current, cohesive platform that elevated the overall experience and business value of Visa’s commercial offerings by developing comprehensive user journey maps and information architecture documentation to streamline the design process and ensure alignment with business and technical requirements.
