Overview

The main objective of this case was to manage a comprehensive marketing campaign, driven by the creation of detailed buyer personas and targeted landing pages. Also the improvement of user interaction, streamline content delivery, optimize for search engines, and ultimately boost engagement and conversions by aligning the website with strategic digital marketing initiatives.

The Challenge

The core challenge was to transform their existing online platform into a unique, intuitive, clean, and easily accessible user interface.

  • Lack of Online Presence & Content Generation: Novalan had no prior online presence, requiring the generation of all website content and structure from scratch. This was particularly challenging due to very limited existing content, primarily derived from printed documentation of their main services.

  • Creating Uniqueness & Accessibility: Designing interfaces that were not only unique and clean but also highly accessible and intuitive for all users.

  • Integrating Diverse Digital Strategies: Seamlessly combining UX/UI design with content strategy, SEO, social media, and technical backend management.

  • Technical Stack Versatility: Managing and implementing solutions across a broad range of technologies (HTML, CSS, PHP, MySQL, Joomla, WordPress, etc.).

  • Optimizing for Engagement: Crafting content and user flows that effectively captured user attention and guided them towards conversion, particularly through targeted campaigns.

My Contributions & Process

As a key UX & UI Designer and Content Strategist, my contributions spanned the entire digital lifecycle, from strategic planning to hands-on implementation:

  • Holistic UX & UI Design: I was responsible for creating unique, intuitive, clean, and easily accessible user interfaces. This involved initializing product design, defining requirements, and aligning with project objectives and business goals. I meticulously crafted navigation, wireframes, sitemaps, and interaction specifications using Adobe XD, Photoshop, and Illustrator.

  • Strategic Content Strategy & Buyer Personas: I developed a comprehensive content strategy informed by detailed buyer personas. This ensured that all content, including that for targeted landing pages and complex forms, was tailored to resonate with the target audience, driving impactful engagement. My role extended to managing the overall marketing campaign by leveraging these insights.

  • Technical Implementation & CMS Management: I contributed to the technical implementation, utilizing HTML, CSS, Sass, Bootstrap, Semantic UI, JavaScript Basis, PHP, and MySQL. I also managed the website through Joomla and WordPress CMS, ensuring efficient content delivery and site functionality.

  • SEO & Digital Marketing Optimization: My responsibilities included implementing SEO (Search Engine Optimization) strategies, managing Google Analytics and Webmaster Tools, and developing social media strategies. This comprehensive approach aimed to improve the website’s discoverability and online performance.

  • Server Administration & Email Configuration: I handled Linux server administration and email exchange configuration, ensuring a stable and secure online environment for Novalan’s digital assets.

  • Project Coordination: I utilized Trello for project management, ensuring smooth coordination and tracking of tasks across various aspects of the project.

My approach was holistic, integrating design with digital marketing and technical expertise:

  • User-Centered Design: Applied a user-centered design process, starting with buyer personas to inform all design and content decisions, ensuring relevance and appeal. This directly supported the creation of targeted landing pages for the marketing campaign.
